The Genesis is HD Defense’s entry-level 5.56 NATO Caliber AR15 rifle and is designed to fit the needs of the modern American patriot. The Genesis was designed to be a strong foundation to build on.

Similar to HD Defense’s Exodus model, the Genesis is designed with quality and performance in mind. The Genesis features many classic AR15 components like the MILSPEC Stock and Pistol Grip, however we improved on the original M4 design by using a full length free floating barrel, a unique grind on our fire control group, and proper matched specifications for all the various components yielding a symphony of performance.

With its 4150CMV barrel and free-floating hand-guard, the Genesis demonstrates more repeatable performance, more consistent bore, better handling and improved accuracy and performance. Traditional Plastic Handguards have a tendency to change barrel harmonics every time you manipulate your grip. However, a free floated handguard allows the barrel to move naturally and uninhibited by the operator’s grip. Also, unlike a traditional Fixed Sighted M4 with only 15 inches of sight radius, the 12″ handguard yields a maximum sight radius of roughly 19 inches. This improves the operator’s ability to aim accurately.

The Genesis is manufactured with maximum compatibility in mind with all aftermarket non-proprietary triggers featuring a “low shelf” lower receiver (RDIAS compatible), and is able to accept short throw selectors.

The Genesis bolt carrier group is nitride coated, rather than phosphate or trendy Nickel Boron coatings. Because there is no change to the outside diameter of the carrier from the coating process, the action is smoother, more reliable, slicker, more durable, and more corrosion resistant.
